Today I am taking a moment to build on Self esteem. Take it from a guy who started out with a very low self esteem as I really was the smallest kid.... This stuff works. Try it you might just like it. The rest of the week will be nose to the grind stone moving forward.

So how do you stay calm, composed and maintain self esteem in a tough environment? Here are some tips you may consider as a starter guide to self improvement.

Imagine yourself as a Dart Board. Everything and everyone else around you may become Dart Pins, at one point or another. These dart pins will destroy your self esteem and pull you down in ways you won’t even remember. Don’t let them destroy you, or get the best of you.  So which dart pins should you avoid?

Dart Pin #1 : Negative Work Environment
Beware of “dog eat dog” theory where everyone else is fighting just to get ahead. This is where non-appreciative people usually thrive. No one will appreciate your contributions even if you miss lunch and dinner, and stay up late. Most of the time you get to work too much without getting help from people concerned.  Stay out of this, it will ruin your self esteem. Competition is at stake anywhere. Be healthy enough to compete, but in a healthy competition that is.

Dart Pin #2: Other People’s Behavior
Bulldozers, brown nosers, gossipmongers, whiners, backstabbers, snipers, people walking wounded,

controllers, naggers, complainers, exploders, patronizers, sluffers… all these kinds of people will pose bad vibes for your self esteem, as well as to your self improvement scheme.

Dart Pin #3: Changing Environment
You can’t be a green bug on a brown field. Changes challenge our paradigms. It tests our flexibility, adaptability and alters the way we think. Changes will make life difficult for awhile, it may cause stress but it will help us find ways to improve our selves. Change will be there forever, we must be susceptible to it.

Dart Pin #4: Past Experience
It’s okay to cry and say “ouch!” when we experience pain. But don’t let pain transform itself into fear. It might grab you by the tail and swing you around. Treat each failure and mistake as a lesson.

Dart Pin #5: Negative World View
Look at what you’re looking at. Don’t wrap yourself up with all the negatives of the world. In building self esteem, we must learn how to make the best out of worst situations.

Dart Pin #6: Determination Theory
The way you are and your behavioral traits is said to be a mixed end product of your inherited traits (genetics), your upbringing (psychic), and your environmental surroundings such as your spouse, the company, the economy or your circle of friends. You have your own identity. If your father is a failure, it doesn’t mean you have to be a failure too. Learn from other people’s experience, so you’ll never have to encounter the same mistakes.

Sometimes, you may want to wonder if some people are born leaders or positive thinkers. NO. Being positive, and staying positive is a choice. Building self esteem and drawing lines for self improvement is a choice, not a rule or a talent. God wouldn’t come down from heaven and tell you – “George, you may now have the permission to build self esteem and improve your self.”  

In life, its hard to stay tough specially when things and people around you keep pulling you down. When we get to the battle field, we should choose the right luggage to bring and armors to use, and pick those that are bullet proof. Life’s options give us arrays of more options. Along the battle, we will get hit and bruised. And wearing a bullet proof armor ideally means ‘self change’. The kind of change which comes from within. Voluntarily. Armor or Self Change  changes 3 things: our attitude, our behavior and our way of thinking.

Building self esteem will eventually lead to self improvement if we start to become responsible for who we are, what we have and what we do. Its like a flame that should gradually spread like a brush fire from inside and out. When we develop self esteem, we take control of our mission, values and discipline.  Self esteem brings about self improvement, true assessment, and determination. So how do you start putting up the building blocks of self esteem? Be positive. Be contented and happy. Be appreciative. Never miss an opportunity to compliment. A positive way of living will help you build self esteem, your starter guide to self improvement.

I hope this article has helped you bring more innovation into your life. Keep in mind that you're doing these things for your own satisfaction and not anybody else's. But soon enough they will notice, and everything should snowball from there.

Tips For Change " Weaknesses Explored in the Hidden Self"

Hi Webbers,

What a wonderful ride. I have finally been able to get down to it. I have been hammering away at stuff that needs to be done around the new home. I am close to being finished with a few more projects. Pics to come soon. I have been working on our home automation system. Those that know me would agree I love a good challenge and I am about as gadget geeky as they come.

My background is in system integration. I started in the smart home business. I always told myself one day I would have my own and I am getting there. With that being said I have an extra part it is the brains to the whole thing. It is a Lutron Caseta Smart Bridge Pro.

What a great Monday. Can you imagine we are three months in to 2016 and cooking along. I have been having quite the adventure with the new home. The Key to Developing Your Self-Esteem

Self-esteem is a state of mind. It can fill you with happiness, cheer, and confidence. It can also make you feel terrible about yourself. Self-esteem is like a battery. When the battery is charged, the individual is positive; when the battery is low, the individual is negative.

Individuals with low self-esteem often do not do well in life. They will approach most situations with little confidence though they may be fully capable of accomplishing it. Self-belief is considered the foundation of self-esteem. It provides the extra confidence that one needs to know they can do anything.

So how do you develop self-belief in yourself? Do not mistake self-belief as self-importance. They are not the same. It is more like conceit, spawn over confidence and egotism, which does not lead to personal success.

The right answer is positive self-esteem. This means that you see yourself as good and capable as anyone else, no better or worse, you are proud of who you are, and you approach everything with a positive outlook.

To do this you must learn to accept yourself unconditionally. You will have strengths and weaknesses, and you will have achievements and failures. You must learn to accept those realities. This is what self-esteem is all about – truth in yourself.

Those who always languish are never happy. Those who blame everyone else for their failures also never get ahead. They are consumed with negativity.

It is important to not let your mistakes or failures overpower you, and ruin your happiness. You have to accept your mistakes and move on. Any time you do not acknowledge your mistakes, you lose some of your self-esteem.

Most people gain a lot of happiness from their accomplishments. Their self-esteem rises; they feel like they can accomplish anything. However, the same self-esteem can fall when that person is rejected or makes a mistake. This can cause a person to feel unhappy and unwanted, and can eat away at his self-esteem until he is very unhappy. It will also impact other realms of his life.

In order to improve your self-esteem, you need to be fair to yourself. Do not beat yourself up when something goes wrong. It can lead to depression and overwhelming guilt. A mistake or failure cannot be changed, but it can be learned from. Everyone should judge himself or herself fairly. Beating up on oneself leads to defeat, and destroys self-esteem.

Tips for Change "The Advantages of Self-Confidence"

Hi Webbers,

What a lovely Monday. My day has been an unbelievable positive day among the challenges of the day. My daughter has a clean bill of health. Thankfully! As the day progressed I had a few design challenges that I needed to get through. Finally I got home and had to take care of the much needed groceries. As my daughter and I traveled to the grocery store she talked about being kind and not hurting anyone. We went through the store and had the most helpful experience. Now was that the luck of the evening I believe it was the intent and the standard we set and we attracted that. We did that. What is your standard? Do you take responsibility for where you are? Our choices get us our lot in life and I have made lots of poor ones. Every poor choice I chose one way or the other. Every morning I get up and choose to set the standard for my daughter. I look at her in awe and how much of an adult she is I love the person she is becoming.

How does this relate to today's Tips for Change. She is a very confident child. She can do things that I am amazed at and I hope she continues on her path! Self-confidence has the ability to make employees perform more effectively at their jobs. Confident employees are able to take on multifaceted tasks with a greater level of commitment and concentration. Self-confidence breeds enthusiasm and lets a person inspire their co-workers. Individuals like these are valuable to an employer because they can get the job done. Self-confident people have the ability to succeed at whatever they put their minds to.

Self-confident people have a positive outlook

A self-confident person is often organized and able to stick to a schedule. Being organized helps a person stay on top of things in every arena of their life. Being able to finish a job on time and well is very encouraging. You can often tell a self-confident person by his smile and cheerful demeanor.

Self-confident people are better equipped to deal with stressful situations with a level head. They are confident that they can make it through any situation and solve any problem. A good day spent at work often dictates how a person will be at home after work. A sense of accomplishment on the job helps a person be more agreeable with family, and more upbeat. He or she will want to spend more time with family, which is beneficial for everyone.

It is easier to invest time in a relationship when you are up on yourself and organized in your life. Self-confident people are often better able to draw the line between work and family, allowing for more balance and harmonious relationships with family and friends. Self-confident people seem to be able to bind relationships through time and care.

Self-confidence helps employees work well independently or as part of a team. They can take the lead, or follow someone else’s instructions without problems or conflict. They are not afraid to acknowledge that they deserve a promotion or raise, and ask for it.

People look up to self-confident people

Self-confident people are more likely to achieve personal and professional successes than someone who looks down on him or herself. Self-confident people have energy and magnetism that draws people in. They believe in themselves and have the courage to solve problems and deal with anything that is thrown their way. People like to be around a self-confident person.

Tips for Change "Test Your Self Esteem"

It is Monday and time for this weeks Tips for change. I have had to make a lot of adjustments in the last month it has been tough. Someone in my life who means a whole lot to me has been making poor choices in their life. The pain they have been causing has been terrible to watch. It truly shows that in order for anyone to be of service to another they must want change. It has been one small shift after the other. This experience truly shows me that change is possible if you commit. It takes one small step. I got the chance to watch the new move Creed. What great motivation stories Stallone has achieved. In it the mantra they tote is "One step one punch one round". You could also recall "You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain't you! You're better than that!"

Change is hard and I hope they stay the course. Other than that we are getting through each and every day with it's twists and turns. Stay balanced my friends.

Once you have honestly completed your self-esteem test, you will learn what aspects of your personality you need to focus on. The next step is to use resources such as self-help books, videos or audio exercises on tape or CD to help improve your self esteem issues.

If you feel that you might need a boost in your confidence, take a few self-esteem tests that are available in books or online. Be honest in your answers. You will most likely be surprised by what you learn, and you will be able to begin a self-esteem improvement routine to top up your confidence level. You will be on your way to landing that dream job or finding the love of your life. Best of all, you will be happier with yourself.

Tips for Change "Start Building Self Esteem Today"

Morning Webbers,

It is Tuesday morning and my blog is going out late. It seems my trusted computer has decided to go on the decline. It has been a good tool and live a full and happy life of 7 years. It's replacement is here and if lives as long it will be well worth the investment. If not well shame on me for not investing in quality.

Speaking of quality and investing. How do you invest in yourself? Do you go for quality or quantity. How do you invest in others? I am in a situation currently where the person says they want to change. They have a little. However they are not making the investment. Sometimes it is frustrating to know the potential someone holds. We can see what needs to be done. Yet the person we are speaking to or working with does not see it. As a coach we are taught to stay as an observer and that way we can keep open and not close ourselves in with the client. As family we want to see a successful outcome and we do get inside which adds to our frustration and the anger sets in as to why can't I fix this. The problem is it isn't our problem. It is their problem and only they can fix it and they have to choose to fix it. Then we can be of help or a resource for them.

What Is Self Esteem?

High self esteem is an extremely important characteristic of all highly successful people. Without
high levels of self esteem you are unlikely to see yourself as being worthy of success or happiness, and as a result will never truly try your hardest to achieve it.

High self esteem will give you the courage to keep going when things get tough, and believe in yourself when others say you will never accomplish something. Developing and building self esteem is therefore one of the most important and valuable things you could ever do for yourself. Unfortunately, the value of self esteem is often overlooked, yet the truth is we could all improve our level of self esteem in some way or another.

Things That Build Self Esteem

The things that improve your self esteem are quite simple. Basically anything that makes you feel good about yourself, makes you feel important or valuable as a person will build your level of self esteem. So if your life is full of these things on a consistent daily basis, then your level of self esteem will automatically rise.

However the opposite is also true. So anything that makes you feel bad, reduces your feelings of worthiness or importance, will lower your self esteem.

Causes Of Low Self Esteem

So when you look at self esteem like this, you can see that overall self esteem is just a balance between things that make you feel good, and things that make you feel bad. If you feel good more often than you do bad, you will have high self esteem and vice versa.

So why is this important? Well many people who suffer from low levels of self esteem continue to expose themselves to things that make them feel bad. They may hang around with the same people everyday who laugh at them, or treat them disrespectfully. They may talk to themselves in a way that lacks respect, such as saying they are a looser or that they can’t do anything. Or they may do other things which day by day make them feel the same way.

Change Your Life, Change Your Thoughts

So the key here is change. If you are able to identify the things that make you feel bad, and replace them with the things that make you feel good, ultimately your self esteem will improve. You won’t have to try to improve and build up your self esteem, it will just happen automatically.

This principle of change is so simple it is often overlooked, because people become used to doing the same things day in day out. The trouble with this is that by doing the same things everyday, your thought patterns remain the same everyday and so you FEEL the same everyday. This is the real value and importance of change, which is why sometimes you need to change your life first, before you can change your thoughts.

Change will break your current thought patterns and create new patterns of thought. It is up to you to create patterns that will improve and enrich your life, and you do this by exposing yourself to things that make you feel good about yourself and raise your value as a person.

Tips for Change "Self esteem improvement - Start now before it is too late"

I hope you are well. We are slowly exiting the box stage on our move and are almost fully living in our new place. I now have a home office to work out of and a small meeting place in home. This really could work out to be a place I love. We have been doing a ton of unwrapping placing and putting away. I love my little family and look forward to growing here.

Self esteem improvement - Start now before it is too late

Be determined to improve your self esteem and you are on your way to great achievement.

Do not let a low self esteem ruin your life. The way you think about yourself determines how you

interact with others.

What are some examples of low esteem aspects in your mind that you need improvement on?

1. Nothing you do seems to go right
2. You believe that most people do not like you.
3. You believe that you are not attractive.
4. You choose something and it turns out to be the worst one.
5. You are afraid to converse with others for fear that what you say might not make sense.
6. You feel swallowed up in a whirlpool of frustration.
What’s wrong with you? Your thoughts, actually.

Stop thinking that the world is closing in on you. Get determined to achieve what you desire. Stop blaming other people for your misfortunes. The world is not your problem, you are your own problem.

From this moment on, begin the process of self esteem improvement. Think the right way and be determined to win, and win you will. Just remember that success never comes easily and that is why determination is its counterpart.

Oftentimes, one gets to the brink of success and with just a little disappointment or setback, they lose heart and give up too easily and too soon. A surefire candidate to low self esteem improvement. Who knows what great things might have been achieved if only they had persevered.

Without a high self esteem, your life could be rather boring. Change your thinking and begin to see yourself on top of the world. Make a very special effort to be what you really want to be.

You have to seriously decide either to remain in a miserable state of low self esteem, or acquire self esteem improvement and develop a high self esteem with good character and self image.

The origin of low self esteem.

A low self esteem could begin way back in childhood when children are made to believe that they are worthless. Their self confidence is eroded and they succumb to the idea that they can never achieve success in anything that they do. They were picked on, laughed at, pushed around, called ugly names, and treated with disdain. No wonder they grew up to be full of resentment.

If that was your experience, it is time you cut yourself loose from that mindset and do self esteem improvement. Start reading about the life of successful persons and you will soon discover that many of them had such low self esteem that they could not even complete an elementary education.

Many decided to override their low self esteem and improve their attitude, whatever it took. They became some of the greatest men and women that ever lived.

Tips for Change "Personal Mastery And Improving Your Confidence"

How goes it. I am tired achy and sore. However I am happy and enjoying life. We made a move to give us some more square footage. I now have my own office. Which is a total mess at the moment. We have a large usable basement. My wife has a kitchen that she loves. This is great for us as I can expand on the business and take on more office hours. It is so cool to unwrap and open some of the things that have been tucked away for so long. I get to enjoy the memories of all the little trinkets I get to see.

Webbers I hope your year is progressing well. I am looking forward to a huge year with lots of success. I am also looking to meet as many people as possible who want to explore self-improvement and or achieve self-mastery.

confidence influences the way they see themselves and their performance. Contrary to what most people think, self confidence is not something that only the gifted and blessed could have. With the help of personal mastery, individuals could now start building on their self-confidence.

Personal mastery is about self-development and self-improvement. It is about loving yourself and accepting yourself as you are. You need to acknowledge your weaknesses and at the same time strengthen them. Personal mastery is about loving yourself.

To attain personal mastery and confidence, it is important to believe in yourself. It is also important to be content with yourself. To develop self- confidence, self-acceptance should occur. Self- acceptance is about accepting not only the good things in life, but also the failures in life.

Aside from self-acceptance what else can you do to achieve self-confidence through personal mastery.

• Understanding thoughts and emotions- forgetting about a bad habit or behavior would make us more aware about thoughts and emotions. By becoming aware of our emotions and behavior, then we will be able to overcome and correct our behavior. But once you have decided to change habits and behavior, there are different strategies and methods that you can do gain mastery over them.
• Self discipline. Changing attitude and behavior, or even perspective might take a while. Change does not happen overnight. You need to gather enough knowledge and start learning and practicing the skills that you would like to improve and develop.
• Have a clear vision on what you want to happen in your life. To be able to move forward in your life, then it is important to have clarity. Seeing what you want to have in a clearer image would encourage you to work for it.
• The choice is yours. You can choose what you want to experience. Doing something important for you and something you love, would give you enough confidence to continue with what you have started.
• Commitment and trusting. To be able to attain personal mastery for development and growth, you

need to trust yourself that you can undergo the process and commit yourself to the process.

When developing self-confidence through personal mastery, we would have to develop some characteristics. We would develop self awareness, which is about our readiness to look at our past, accept it and the same goes for the present. Aside from this, we also develop self-knowledge which is about understanding our past and our attitude. Not only should we understand them but also be able to comprehend the basis for such attitude or experience. Last, we develop self discipline. Self-discipline is about how we make sure that our goals and vision are translated in action and achieved. We need self discipline to make sure that we do not back-out just because of simple and little disappointments and setbacks.

Building self-confidence can’t be done on just a snap. Self- improvement can be a never-ending process. There are people who even acknowledge that self-improvement can last even for a life-time. Sometimes, we can only say that we are fully masterful of our life if we have reached our dreams and goals. Personal mastery can help use with growth and eventually with success. We just need to continue with our dreams and be patient.

Tips for Change "Performance - Turbo-Charge Your Life With Powerful Self-Talk"

I hope you are having an amazing week! What a topic to get into this week. Self-talk amazing what can happen. I have a personal challenge to anyone who reads this post. Try positive self talk for 90 days and see if it makes a difference really dedicate yourself to the change. I am sure you will have come real gains in your life. Performance - Turbo-Charge Your Life With Powerful Self-Talk

Self-talk is the inner chatter that accompanies us in most of our waking moments. Your self-talk can be a powerful aid to your performance, or it can be destructive.

What do you say when you talk to yourself? If you're like many of us, your self-talk is a caustic mixture of judgments, complaints, and verbal abuse, in the form of "tapes" - mental recordings - that
you've imprinted on your mind and play over and over again. No wonder you feel down and depressed.

However, you can change the tapes you play, and your self-talk, as soon as you become aware of what you're saying to yourself. Changing your self-talk will turbo-charge your life and enhance your performance in everything you do.

You can change your self-talk right now

Let's try a little test. Say to yourself, silently or aloud: "That was a stupid thing to say. How could I say _________ (pick any verbal blunder you can remember). I'm so stupid."

How do you feel? Perhaps you feel sad, or anxious. Take a moment to track your emotions in your body. Perhaps you have a sinking feeling in your tummy, or your face is becoming hot. Your self-talk immediately affected your body, your mental state and your emotions.

Now let's try some positive self-talk. Take a couple of deep breaths, smile, and say to yourself, aloud or silently: "I'm happy, strong and confident."

How do you feel now? Feel your emotions in your body. Repeat the words "I'm happy, strong and confident" several times – keep smiling as you do so. You felt an emotional lift, didn't you? You can give yourself an emotional boost at any time, just by changing your self-talk. If you make it a habit to repeat motivating self-talk to yourself, not only will you feel better, but you'll perform better in everything you do.

Self-talk is powerful, and it's free. It's the best thing you can do for yourself.

Erase old self-talk tapes: make new tapes

Affirmations are a form of self-talk, and you can create your own affirmations to use as self-talk. However, the best way to change your old self-talk tapes, is to make a new tape every time you catch yourself replaying an old tape.

For example, if you hear yourself saying: "I'll never get this project done. No one's helping me with it, I'm always left to do the hard work and others get the credit…"

Change your self-talk immediately. Write down your new self-talk tape which will over time erase the old self-talk tape: "This project's interesting. I'm going to have fun working with it. I'll ask ___ and ___ for their input right away. I'm taking charge of this project, it will be done in no time, and I'll claim the credit because I deserve it."

Now repeat your new self-talk to yourself as often as you need to, particularly as soon as you can hear any faint whispers of the old self talk. Boost the new tape with affirmations, like: "I'm confident, capable and strong. I CAN do this!"

Start today: use powerful self-talk to enhance your performance in everything you do.
